1 / 3Lofi Cities is a free web app that pairs animated pixel-art city scenes with lofi music that is composed live in your browser. You pick a city, press play and let it run in a tab while you study, work or wind down. There is nothing to install, no account and no pop-ups, and it works on computers, phones and tablets. What makes it special is the care in each scene. Every city is a 480x270 pixel animation that loops seamlessly every four minutes, with its own weather, landmarks and sounds: rain on a Paris attic window, neon and cherry blossoms in Tokyo, snow over the Brooklyn Bridge, or a Christmas market in Munich. The music never repeats, because new tracks are generated on the fly in many styles. The project is open about its process: every city is drawn by code written by AI coding agents. New cities and features arrive often, and you can follow the project on X at @loficitiesapp. Highlights: • Dozens of hand-tuned pixel-art cities, from Paris and Tokyo to Cape Town and Seoul • Endless lofi generated live in the browser, with styles from jazzhop to chiptune • Weather controls such as drizzle, thunderstorm, snow and autumn leaves • City tour mode that changes the scene every few minutes or follows the night • Focus and sleep timers, plus a simple task list and notes • Shared radio, a jam mode with playable keys, and live chat • Save a frame or postcard as a 1920x1080 PNG Lofi Cities is free to use and needs no sign-up. You can support it through Buy Me a Coffee, and 1080p60 video loops of the cities are sold separately on Gumroad. It runs in any modern browser on desktop and mobile.
